Gallery Baton is pleased to present an exhibition "Forms of Beauty in Our Time" - a selection of significant works by Liam Gillick, Tatsuo Miyajima, Bin Woo Hyuk, Suzanne Song, Rinus Van de Velde, Heeseung Chung, and Yuichi Hirako for Frieze NY 2021.Art presents us with objects and images with narratives that reflect our daily lives and experiences – ranging from sensuality to the conceptual. The topics that fascinate artists have always reflected upon each era's paradigm while presenting the viewer with new images and ideas to relate to. Prevailing trends in art reflect the changes in aesthetics and the current social climate. The external form of an artwork combined with the inspiration that viewers gain defines our time's beauty. One substructure of contemporary urban society today could be understood as a combination of Minimal styles of living and social spaces that reinforce extreme simplicity, the dominance of display devices for consuming information, the institutionalized standardization of high-efficiency industrial platforms, and a deepened globalization which homogenizes our life. The question, "What is beauty in our time and how do artists manifest new abstract concepts?" is the guiding principle of "Forms of Beauty in Our Time."–
