The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, presents a major survey of artist Zilia Sánchez’s works spanning from 1950 to 1996. Zilia Sánchez is best known for her iconic shaped canvas paintings exploring formalist concerns and social issues. The exhibition includes works from her time in Cuba, New York, and Puerto Rico, showcasing her evolution in style and themes. The exhibition features approximately thirty works and is accompanied by an exhibition catalogue with scholarly essays and archival materials.
