Louise Bourgeois' Fabric Works Trace Memory and Trauma

Louise Bourgeois' retrospective has opened at the Southbank Centre in London, presenting the artist's fabric works.

Drawn from the last two decades of her career, Bourgeois' textile works mined themes of gender, womanhood, trauma, and memory.

The exhibition is on view until 15 May 2022. On 12 April, another major exhibition of the artist's work—focusing this time on her paintings—will open at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
