From the U.S. to Europe, Nicolas Party has been busy maintaining momentum in the art world, making site-specific works for museums, galleries, and even the luxury hotel Le Sirenuse on Italy's Amalfi Coast.

Now, he's expanding into Asia with his largest exhibition of work to date at the Hoam Museum of Art in Yongin, a 40-minute drive from Seoul. Dust (31 August 2024–19 January 2025) is the Swiss-born, New York-based artist's first solo exhibition in South Korea.

The display features 48 existing paintings and sculptures, along with 20 new works. Five large-scale pastel murals painted directly on the museum's walls are the defining pieces, created just for this exhibition and set to disappear when it concludes.

Whimsical scenes of frosty green caves and lilac skies filled with plumes of smoke are striking backdrops for Party's surreal portraits and still lifes, adding an enchanting touch to pieces from the museum's and Leeum Museum of Art's collections of traditional Korean art.

The show is a must-see during Seoul Art Week 2024, as well as fairs Frieze Seoul (4–7 September 2024) and Kiaf SEOUL (4–8 September 2024).
