Read More'The notion of the body is essential.
By practicing dance for a long time, I unconsciously think I want to link my body and my gestures to medium. I seek to invoke processes of oppression and coercion. I use daily objects and materials that I divert to make them exist in unusual settings. I thus play with the functions and characteristics of materials. The arrangement of these different elements attempts to bring up questions about the physical and psychological constraints that we experience on a daily basis. My work is based on questioning and dichotomous research thus creating tensions, analogies, paradoxes. A metamorphosis that unfolded towards intimacy, fragility, memory, and transmission.
Often in the form of a diptych (face to face/back to back), playing with the boundaries between the viewer and the object. This in-between is my guiding line. Conversations, Transfers and bridges are built between the witnesses and me. I connect fortuitous moments of life in a meaningful unity.' –Clara Rivault
