The sculptures and installations of Chang are made with materials collected in nature or in connection with it. They are most often in-situ, pointing to the artist's interest in the relations between forms, space and landscape. Chang is interested in raw and organic matter for their transient state. These are mutating works that can evolve and continue their process of transformation related to the cyclical and inevitable dimension of time. Each piece evokes fragmented movements as seized at different times of the same process of mutation. Their ambiguity or abstract aspects reveal the link between the inert and the living.
Chang has participated in several collective exhibitions including Dynasty, Palais de Tokyo and Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris, in 2010 and Afterlife, Tot Zover Museum, Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 2011.
