Joan Jonas is one of the most important living artists in the USA and has represented America in the Venice Biennale in 2015. Her ground breaking experimental practice included video, drawing, performance and installation. In recent years Jonas has also become increasingly engaged with environmental issues, focusing on the animal world and the vulnerability of our planet.
