Eugenia Raskopoulos is a visual artist based in Sydney. Her work explores ideas on identity, translation, language and the body. Translation in the broadest sense of the word is a thread that is continuous throughout her practice.
Read MoreRaskopoulos has been the recipient of a number of grants from the Australia Council. In 2007 she received a Scholarship from Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 2004 she was awarded the Western Sydney Fellowship from Arts New South Wales. In 2003 she spent 3 months at the Art Gallery of New South Wales Studio at the Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris.
Her work is collected in most major state galleries in Australia and the National Gallery of Australia and has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Raskopoulos' work was shown in Nightcomers at the 10th International Istanbul Biennial 2007. In 2008 Raskopoulos' work was included in Intrude: Art & Life 366 Project by Zendai MoMA, Shanghai, China and Video Logic at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.
