Art Talk with Art Friends is a warm, whimsical and light-hearted examination of the anxieties confronting a young artist, the courage required by artists generally, and the language and operations of the art world.
For this exhibition, Maddie Tait-Jamieson has placed her signature graphic drawings and text in a playful multi-media installation with video, sculpture and wall drawings. Two recurring characters - Wolf and Unicorn - appear across all media as anthropomorphic personas creating a fictional world where we can enter and eavesdrop on their conversations.
Tait-Jamieson, who was born, raised and lives in Wellington, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Beaux Arts de Montpellier in France.
