Located near PLATEFORME 10, Lausanne’s emerging arts district, Fabienne Levy is a Swiss contemporary art gallery that shows works by an international selection of artists. The gallery was established in 2019 by owner Fabienne Levy, a Swiss collector who had previously worked at Christie’s before becoming a freelance art advisor. Fabienne Levy’s aim as a gallery is to present ‘inspiring works’–most of them made exclusively for the gallery space–that foster art as a catalyst for change.

Fabienne Levy represents a range of contemporary artists from around the world, who work across a variety of mediums.
Among the gallery’s roster are artists like Iranian Swiss-French sculptor and installation artist Vanessa Safavi, who explores contemporary representation of the body with creations made from various rubbers and plastics; Andrea Galvani, an Italian conceptual artist, who draws upon scientific enquiry to produce multi-media interventions in the gallery space; German painter, Norbert Bisky, whose colourful and abstracted scenes subvert the Soviet imagery of his childhood in the GDR; and Lausanne local, Catherine Bolle, who produces light-based installations, expressive paintings and engravings on acrylic glass.
Fabienne Levy also represents a selection of younger talent. That includes contemporary figurative painters like Alina Frieske from Germany, Nigerian-Canadian Ekene Emeka Maduka, Rebecca Brodskis from France, Romane de Watteville from Switzerland–each of whom is exploring contemporary perspective on representation.
Also working in three dimensions are young artists like Aurélien Martin, a Swiss sculptor whose objects recall mass-produced gadgets while eluding a determinate function; and Bulgarian Vikenti Komitski who combines images and objects of nature with artificial materials in three-dimensional wall works he describes as ‘micro-environments’.
Fabienne Levy Exhibitions
Fabienne Levy hosts a diverse programme of mostly solo exhibitions, for which their artists often create new works. The gallery also runs a number of special exhibitions and programmes. In 2020, Fabienne Levy inaugurated its annual Space Invasion programme, in which students from art schools across the region are invited to produce and exhibit and sell work in the gallery space.
