Born in 1979 in Dandong, Liaoning Province, China, Jia Aili completed a BA (Bachelor of the Arts) in oil painting from the Lu Xun academy of fine art in Shenyang, China. In 2006 he completed his masters (MA) at the research institute of oil painting at the Lu Xun academy of fine art. The artist currently living and working in Beijing, China.
