Silke Leverkühne (*1953) studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Düssseldorf, from 2004 to 2020 she has been professor for painting at the Cologne University. She has had one-person-shows at the Leopold-Hoesch-Museum, Düren, Altonaer Museum Hamburg, Von der Heydt-Museum Wuppertal, Kunstmuseum Düsseldorf among others. Her work is part of a number of private and public collections among them Leopold-Hoesch-Museum, Düren, Von der Heydt-Museum, Wuppertal, Kunstsammlung of the State of NRW, Museum Kunst Palast, Düsseldorf, Bayer Collection, Leverkusen, Deutsche Bank Collection, Frankfurt, Collection of the Kunst-und Kulturstiftung der Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf.
