From the late 1960s, Fred Sandback created an expansive oeuvre of linear sculptures, employing minimal means to achieve spatial effects that combine artwork, space, and the viewer’s perception. This work, using the form of a 'broken' triangle and configured for the gallery’s Corner Space, utilises only a few stretched lines of acrylic yarn to achieve Sandback’s spatial intervention. In the artist’s own words, 'My work doesn’t take over a space, but rather coexists with it.'
