Working primarily in ceramic sculpture, artist Naomi Eller is inspired by nature, myth and the human condition. Translating complex states into visual forms, her figures appear primordial while also incorporating elements of classical antiquity. Eller uses a range of local clay layered with shellac and wax to create a synthesis between organic forms and the material process.
Based in Melbourne, Eller's work is held in the collections of the National Gallery of Victoria, Shepparton Art Museum as well as private collections in Australia, Italy and Japan.
