Navigators introduces the various perspectives and artistic endeavors of Juhae Yang and Suyon Huh, two female artists who have each lived and are living the past and present of the art world. The two artists, who not only challenge the boundaries of material in their work but also that of scale, continuously strive to confront problems within the art world and raise questions about social norms. Juhae Yang, who led the first generation of domestic installation artists in an era that was not favorable to female artists, and Suyon Huh, who questions the unchanged air of exclusivity that still exists despite the now blurry line between the fine arts and public culture, maybe speaking of different issues but their attitudes are one and the same. They are navigators striving through great waves.
