Tim Bruniges is a Sydney based visual artist and musician working across a range of media, including installation, sound and video. Often taking the form of site-responsive installations, the works use live input, amplification and feedback to foreground the creative act of listening.

Bruniges is a current PhD candidate and is the recipient of an Australian Postgraduate Award and Research Excellence award from UNSW. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from COFA, University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Arts (Mus) with distinction from the University of Western Sydney. He was recently awarded the Greene St Studio artist residency in New York, was a finalist in the NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (Emerging) 2014/2016 and the John Fries Award 2014/2015. His work has been written about in Hyperallergic, New York Magazine, The New York Times and he has exhibited works in Australia, USA, UK, Belgium, Germany, France, Iceland and Russia. His work is held in private collections and at Artbank Australia.

Bruniges has composed music for television and feature films and was a founding member of Sydney based band The Dead Sea. Bruniges also collaborates with artist Sarah Mosca on their site-specific sound project titled Survey of Sound. Their work has been shown nationally and internationally.
