For Frieze London, the gallery will place the spotlight on a selection of exemplary works directly from the artists' studios, featuring outstanding new pieces by Nicole Eisenman, Zhang Enli, Charles Gaines, Pipilotti Rist, Anj Smith and Phyllida Barlow.
New works by Glenn Ligon Study for Debris Field #35 (2021) and Simone Leigh Village series (2021) reflect both artists' inaugural solo exhibitions with the gallery at Hauser & Wirth Zurich, Limmatstrasse. Thomas J Price's impressive bronze sculpture, Signals (2021), where a figure holds his phone in the air in an attempt to communicate and connect with others, features alongside his solo exhibition at Hauser & Wirth Somerset this autumn. Lorna Simpson Rainfall (2021) extends from the artist's new series of alluring paintings currently on view at Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles. In the run up to the gallery's first exhibition with Gary Simmons in February 2022 in Los Angeles, a new painting by the artist using his signature 'erasure' technique will feature.
