Informality is excited to announce its upcoming exhibition titled Shallow Lands with British artist duo Forest + Found. The gallery’s first solo exhibition with the Somerset based studio practice comprising Abigail Booth and Max Bainbridge.

Shallow Lands presents a new body of work created over the past year. Both artists look beneath the surface of our natural landscapes to find metaphorical spaces within. In the exhibition Bainbridge peels apart our conception of trees as a symbol of strength by revealing the nuanced, fragile interior of these complex living organisms, Booth draws on a hidden language of colour, locked within nature, as she delves into the permeable and psychological underbelly of ancient chalk formations beneath our feet

Shallow Lands is an exhibition that will draw parallels between these hidden worlds and in doing so can expose existing narratives within nature for our future.
