In 1985, he started making 'Jumper Jones' made by molding transparent plastic. Since 1987, he has produced the 'Underwear Series' made of transparent plastic, which is a model of the human body. After that, focusing on photographic works using miniatures that he created himself, Base Gallery (Tokyo), Gallery Out of Place (Nara), Gallery X Nihonbashi Takashimaya (Tokyo), Robert Mirror Gallery (New York), White Room Gallery (Los Angeles) Presented at a solo exhibition at etc.
In addition to the 2010 Nerima Art Museum Platform 2010 Mayumi Terada-Absent Room Exhibition and the 2012 Seoul Museum of Photography Mayumi Terada Living Absence exhibition, she has exhibited at many museums and galleries in Japan and overseas. Works are stored in the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, Nerima Art Museum, Seoul Museum of Photography, etc.
