Daisuke Teshima (b. 1977, Fukuoka, Japan) draws inspiration from everyday encounters, which fill his quirky wood carved heads and figures with life and individuality. Each figure projects its own curious energy, which manifests in geometric, vibrant props. Teshima’s engagement with humanity and its multitude of vibrant interactions is counterbalanced by more a spiritual, meditative aspect to his practice.
