Maddox Gallery’s flagship location—a converted townhouse on Mayfair’s Maddox Street, from which the gallery takes its name—opened its doors in 2015. Since then, and guided by Creative Director Jay Rutland, the gallery has expanded to a further two London locations as well as two overseas outposts, in Gstaad and Los Angeles. The façade of each gallery is adorned with floral ensembles that are an iconic feature of Maddox Gallery’s spaces.
Maddox Gallery Artists
Maddox Gallery presents a vibrant selection of widely respected established and emerging artists. Among the artists exhibited at Maddox Gallery are internationally celebrated figures such as Banksy, KAWS, Damien Hirst, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Takashi Murakami, and Yayoi Kusama.
Maddox Gallery represents established names like internationally renowned British photographer David Yarrow, American street artist RETNA, and French street artist and videographer Mr Brainwash. The gallery’s roster also includes emerging talent such as Caribbean-born painter Bradley Theodore, who paints vibrant renditions of fashion icons and historic figures.
Other artists represented by the gallery include Dutch multi-media artist Joseph Klibansky, whose work conceptually explores phenomenology and the ambiguity between dystopia and utopia, and The Connor Brothers—the fictional persona of two artists who humorously refashion classic Penguin book covers to explore deeper topics, amongst other projects.
Maddox Gallery Exhibitions and Art Fairs
Across five locations, Maddox Gallery presents an extensive programme of group and solo exhibitions on modern and contemporary art. Utilising virtual reality technology, Maddox Gallery also presents online exhibitions in a virtual gallery space. The gallery also showcases the work of its artists at a range of major art fairs, including Art Miami, London Art Fair, Texas Contemporary, Art Basel in Miami Beach, and Art Central Hong Kong.
