Alexandre Singh was born in 1980 in Bordeaux, France, and lives and works in New York. He will have an upcoming exhibition in 2018 at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Over 2012 and 2013, his play The Humans was developed and premiered at Witte de With, Rotterdam. It was later presented at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, as part of Performa 13 in 2013. He has had one-person exhibitions at the Drawing Center, New York; Palais de Toyko, Paris; Ballroom Marfa, Texas; and Nassauischer Kunstverein, Wiesbaden, Germany. He has additionally participated in group exhibitions at S.M.A.K., Ghent; Guggenheim Museum, New York; New Museum, New York; MoMA PS1, New York; SculptureCenter, New York; Hayward Gallery, London; and CNAP Centre national des arts plastiques, Brussels. His work has also been included in the Whitney Biennial, Lyon Biennial, and Manifesta 8.
