Walead Beshty (born 1976, London, UK) is a Los Angeles-based artist and writer, and has exhibited widely in numerous institutions and galleries around the world.
He curated Picture Industry: A Provisional History of the Technical Image, 1844–2018 at Luma Arles, Arles, France last year and his work has recently been shown at Tate Modern, London, UK (2018); Akron Art Museum, Akron, OH USA (2018); MCA—Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Chicago, IL USA (2018); Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur, Chur, Switzerland (2018), The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (2015); The Barbican Centre, London, UK (2014); Malmö Konsthall, Malmö, Sweden (2011) and Ullens centre for contemporary art, Beijing, China (2011) amongst many others.

Beshty currently has an institutional exhibition at MAMCO, Musée d'art modern et contemporain in Geneva, Switzerland, which will travel to Kunstmuseum Winterthur in January 2020.
