SPACE SO is pleased to announce, , a group exhibition by Winter Gyeoul Kim(1987), Yuri An(1983), Ahnnlee Lee(1985), Lee Jungsik(1987), Lee Joonyong(1984) , from 10 June to 11 July in Seoul. This exhibition starts with hide and seek. However, not to find friends, it is hide-and-seek that occurs in art, in language, in Images and texts hidden in the artwork, The viewers can get closer to the work, look closely, listen, and find hidden clues as if they were playing hide and seek .
The title of the exhibition, Hide and Seek, means to look up the linguistic sensitivity and linguistic devices hidden in the artwork. 'a Peek, a Whisper' reflects that the eyes and ears are more actively required when the viewers appreciates it in this exhibition. 'a Peek' refers to hide and seek of eye through abstract painting that touches sensitive senses, collages installed at various locations, objects, and drawings etc. And 'a Whisper' is a metaphorical representation of hide-and-seek of ear from overlapping sound installations and moving images. Language elements are hidden in paintings, drawings, texts, sounds, objects, and videos made by five artists, and you can see the clues in the SPACE SO.
In this exhibition, you can slowly look into, read, listen, and find hidden works and the language in them. I In a free form, the work and viewers meet and become 'taggers', and you can find the messages of the artists, the language in the work, and hidden clues in the exhibition.
