Kim Si Yeon Biography

Kim Si Yeon's work is about what she overlooked as insignificant in her life of speeding for the imposed purpose and what she seems to be trying hard to see. She says that the process of creating a work is to enter the gap where things around you are subtly misconnected and to experience infinite imagination and a moment of rest through the gap. She notes the importance of being unimportant deviating from the definition of visible objects or the conventional sense. She leads the audience to approach the work through the story of the beginning of the work and converts the materials found in life into products of emotion through repeated labor. The work consists of installations and photographs that combine psychological stimuli, refinedness and lyrical properties that metaphorically represent the story of life.
