Sprüth Magers is pleased to participate in the first iteration of PARIS+ par Art Basel. The presentation will display a variety of mediums by cross-generational artists, continuing the gallery's long-standing presence in Paris every October.
On view will be new works by George Condo, Jenny Holzer and Anne Imhof among other key artists from the gallery program. A seminal work by John Baldessari will be shown alongside a series of his rarely seen Maquettes, presented together with works on paper by Ed Ruscha. Using long exposures, swift camera movements and cropping, Louise Lawler's latest series "swiped", based on images of Jasper Johns' iconic painting Three Flags taken during the de-installation at the Whitney Museum in New York, will be featured as well.
Additional highlights include Untitled (Tooth) by Cyprien Gaillard, whose large scale exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo and Lafayette Anticipations will open during PARIS+ par Art Basel, and a work by Reinhard Mucha, who is currently presenting a major exhibition at K20/K21 in Dusseldorf and will open a solo exhibition at Sprüth Magers, Berlin in November 2022.
