STPI Gallery returns to Art Basel in Basel with new breakthrough print works from Dinh Q. Lê, Jane Lee, Anri Sala, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Suzann Victor and Pae White, created in collaboration with STPI's team of professional printmakers and papermakers.
Highlights include stunning watercolour flocked alphabets from Pae White which were showcased at the Berlin Gallery Weekend 2018, Dinh Q. Lê's recently-conceived, pivotal photographic weavings from his sold-out series 'Splendor and Darkness', and Jane Lee's never-before-seen visually titillating and transcendental acrylic works based on the universal narrative of birds and freedom.
STPI's boundary-pushing approach towards print-making can be seen through Suzann Victor's conceptually charged and celebrated Cloud series, where the artist reversed the role of paper pulp to use it as the medium with which she paints, and Anri Sala's unique portraits of Pop icons such as Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and Marisol Escobar, which were showcased at the 2017 Yokohama Triennale.
STPI Gallery is the only Southeast Asian gallery to take part in all three editions of the Art Basel fairs and in 2017, it made its first-time participation in FIAC Paris. This year, STPI Gallery participated in The Armory Show. This is STPI's 6th participation in Art Basel in Basel.
