STPI returns to Art Basel Hong Kong this year with a stellar line-up, featuring four international artists who have pushed the boundaries of artistic creation, focusing on innovative print and paper techniques. This includes fresh never-before-seen works by Jane Lee (Singapore), thread drawings and rubbings by Do Ho Suh (South Korea/UK), Haegue Yang’s (South Korea/Germany) well-known creations made of spice and natural dyes, as well as new works by Shirazeh Houshiary (UK), whose solo exhibition “The River is Within Us” will be on view at STPI from 19 March to 7 May 2016.
STPI has established its reputation as a leader of conceptual developments in contemporary art practice and continues to draw distinguished artists to its unique Visiting Artist Programme (VAP). During their time at STPI, and with the assistance of STPI’s creative workshop team, these artists discover countless possibilities and new processes of printmaking, readily adopting fresh approaches and openly embracing unexpected outcomes.
