American painter Leonard Bullock now lives and works in Basel after 20 years in New York where he was one of the co-founders of the AC Project Room (with Paul Bloodgood among others).
His first European solo exhibition was with Rudolf Zwirner Galerie, Cologne (1986), and he was given his own room for the Special Projects show curated by Chris Dercon at MoMA PS1 in 1990. Additionally, his work has been featured at Freiburger Kunstverein (1999), David Zwirner New York (2008), Daniel Newburg, London (2012), Atelier Galerie Valerie Gautier, Belle-Île-en-Mer (2018), and Fernet Branca Musée, St. Louis (2019), both in France.
This is Bullock's first exhibition in New York since his showing at David Zwirner in 2008 (together with Paul Bloodgood and Greg Kwiatek).
