White Cube is pleased to participate in FOG Design+Art for the first time with a solo presentation of works by Isamu Noguchi (1904–88), one of the most significant artists of the 20th century.
The booth brings together a group of sculptures the artist crafted from flat industrial materials such as bronze plate and galvanised steel, which draw inspiration from a diverse range of contexts: Japanese crafts and other sculptural traditions from around the world, set and furniture design, as well as the factory floor. Weaving together the past and the future, these works achieve a sense of universality that suggests the breadth and variability of nature.
