Read MoreEum expands his field of painting, and explores how our perception becomes stereotyped through the overflow of images and information that we are constantly exposed to, and asks questions about society and how it presents certain criteria or norms influenced by the media. The artist combines images from his subconscious, images that have been influenced by the media that change depending on the situation or mood, into his own reinterpreted fantasy.
Eum Hayoung’s paintings have an experimental edge to them, which is emphasized by his use of Benjamin Moore’s Ultra Spec paint. They help his work portray a more three-dimensional and lively texture and color.
