Video and performance artist, Lida Abdul’s work confronts the reality of life as a refugee, scrutinizing the tension between the loss of place of origin and the survival of culture and identity. Born in Kabul, she lived in Germany and India as a refugee, before relocating to Los Angeles, where she is currently based.
