Patrick Hill is an American abstract painter and sculptor based in Los Angeles, California. Hill commonly works with wood, stone, steel, fabric dye and glass and also makes paintings using oil paint and various organic pigments on un-primed canvas. His abstract sculptures juxtapose hard and soft materials and make references to Minimalism and the human body. Hill has had solo shows in Paris, London, and the United States, including most recently an untitled exhibition at David Kordansky Gallery in Los Angeles in 2013 and Curls, Kinks, and Waves at Galerie Almine Rech in Paris in 2012. Since 2000 he has been in multiple group shows throughout Europe, the United States, and Asia, including the Whitney Biennial in New York in 2008.
