How does art impact the space that surrounds it? Geomantic Intervention (no.3) curated by renowned artist Adrian Wong explores the impact of artworks on the flow of energy through the Salon and Library at Duddell’s.
For this exhibition, Adrian Wong has taken inspiration from Ilse Crawford’s design and some of Asia’s most respected collectors to create a fundamentally different experience of an exhibition space. With the help of Hong Kong basde Feng Shui practitioner Zoie Yung, an energetic map of the Duddell Street site was drafted, and a detailed analysis performed on all artworks in the collector’s inventories - using a combination of Feng Shui techniques, from the form school to the compass school to five-element color analysis.
Instead of using a conventional approach, selecting artworks based on aesthetic or critical value, Wong and Yung chose works for their ability to modulate the energetic patterns of the rooms that contain them.
