Okinawa Asian Peace Art Festival 2020 is an important art event planned by the art organization MABUNI PEACE PROJECT. With the theme of peace and historical trauma, it gathers the three places of Jeju Island in South Korea, Okinawa, Japan, and Taiwan that also have a history of colonisation. The Okinawa Asian Peace Art Festival opens the dialogue between all of us, and taking the island as an initiative, linking the artistic energy on the island, and chain as an alliance with each other. It creates the resonance of this generation, and to comfort the hearts of people in every troubled time with art. This art festival not only inherited the memory and records of the battle of Okinawa, but also communicated with the neighboring countries of Asia through art, thereby giving the original meaning a deeper development.
