ART FAIR ASIA FUKUOKA (AFAF) is a vibrant contemporary art fair that takes place in southern Japan. This year, the ninth edition of AFAF will be held from 19 to 22 September at the Fukuoka Kokusai Center.
AFAF encourages a new generation of up-and-coming artists and galleries from all around Asia to express themselves on a modern and accessible platform. The fair explores and challenges the order of the contemporary art world by envisioning a future for Asian art and identities.
AFAF welcomes both emerging, local artists as well as established ones, such as the world-renowned Eko Nugroho, who will be one of the fair's featured artists.
A series of talks will take place during the fair in which artists and specialists from the Asian art world will have a chance to exchange ideas. The specially curated Leading ASIA booth by collector and intellectual Miyatsu Daisuke will highlight the works of promising Asian artists.
If you wish to participate in AFAF as a VIP guest, enjoy the fair's preview on September 19 and other events, or buy general admission tickets, visit AFAF's website.
The fair's exhibited artworks will also be available for sale on the Art Scenes e-commerce platform.
