Perrotin is delighted to participate in the 2021 ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair. Here the gallery will present a series of works by artists—emerging, mid-career, as well as established—at adjacent booths W37 and W26. The two will provide a dialogue, highlighting the wider vision of Perrotin’s artist roster.
The booth will begin by focusing on Kelly Beeman, Chen Ke, Song Kun, Koak, Aya Takano, Danielle Orchard, and Claire Tabouret: artists (all women) of different generations. We will also present a selection of works by icons such as Pierre Soulages, Hans Hartung, Georges Mathieu, and Bernard Frize, among others. Most have had recent retrospectives or solo exhibitions in galleries and institutions in Europe and the United States; we’re thrilled to introduce their outstanding practices within Asia. Brand new works from artists in the Perrotin roster will also be presented. Last but not least, Perrotin will curate a group show at booth W26 for Takashi Murakami and Kaikai Kiki artists. In his innovative 'Superflat Universe,' Murakami invites viewers to discover the endless possibilities of his creative world.
