Maria Bueno has launched a private fine art dealership and artist management service based in New York specialising in blue chip post war and contemporary art. The new company, Bueno & Co, will open a private showroom in New York City in 2024.
Bueno, a partner at Cheim & Read, established Bueno & Co to continue the gallery's 25 year legacy of providing connoisseurship and expertise at the highest level to source artwork and facilitate acquisitions for collectors and institutions through private sales, auction houses, and various other channels.
Bueno & Co has access to and has placed works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Louise Bourgeois, Lynda Benglis, William Eggleston, Louise Fishman, Sam Gilliam, Ron Gorchov, Joan Mitchell, Alice Neel, Pat Steir, Sean Scully, Andy Warhol, and Matthew Wong as well as other historical and contemporary masters.
