The resonating impact of paintings can be all consuming. By some strange alchemy, the elements behind that thin rectangle hanging on a wall, coalesce, to replace will and intellect with sensations and emotions. Making human vitality visible and intelligible through the combination of colour, texture and application. The three artist featured in Soft Guidance, Kim Bartelt, Annamarie Ho, and Adelheid De Witte, understand, in their own, unique manner, that dynamic interplay. Honing and evolving their craft over the years, to reveal their own distinctive vision for how they see the world.
