Prior to co-founding Ocula in 2010, Simon worked as an independent advisor and grew up surrounded by art amidst his family's gallery business that was established in 1870. With more than two decades of market experience predominantly focusing on Post War and Contemporary art, Simon advises major collections around the world; from the Asia-Pacific region, to the Middle East, Europe and the US. His wealth of knowledge and expertise in negotiating private sales and advising on acquisitions, consignments and valuations over the years affords his clients exceptional advice in an ever-changing complex market.
ContactChristopher Taylor co-founded Ocula in 2010. He holds an MFA and his expertise lies in 20th-century American and European art. He also holds specialist knowledge in contemporary art, particularly from the Asia-Pacific region. Christopher has worked in arts administration and policy and has held leadership roles in contemporary institutions and auction houses. He has two decades of experience as an independent advisor for institutions, corporate and private collections across London, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.
ContactEva launched Ocula's London office in 2016, working closely with international private clients to advise them on building their collections. Nearly a decade of experience in the art world has enabled her to forge strong relationships with collectors, advisors, galleries and auction houses. Before joining Ocula, Eva worked at David Zwirner in London, assisting with sales and exhibitions. She began her career at Sprüth Magers, London after studying History of Art and Arts Policy & Management in Vienna and London.
ContactJoining Ocula in 2018, Rory advises collectors from Europe, Asia and the US, focusing on contemporary art. His insight and guidance around private sales and advisory is gleaned from years of experience; starting in the Modern British Department at Christie's before moving to Haunch of Venison and more recently holding Director positions at Maureen Paley and then Pilar Corrias in London.
