Simon founded Ocula and now leads Ocula Advisory from London. He has more than 30 years’ experience advising top private and institutional collections worldwide.

Director

Eva started her career at Sprüth Magers before moving to David Zwirner and then Ocula in London. Fluent in four languages, she advises corporate and public collections across Europe and beyond.

RORY MITCHELL
Director

Rory built his career at Christie’s, Haunch of Venison, Maureen Paley, and Pilar Corrias. At Ocula in London, he specialises in post-war and contemporary art while championing emerging practices.

LAURA THOMSON
Director

Laura spent nine years at Anthony d’Offay Gallery, contributing to major exhibitions and the Artist Rooms project. She leads Ocula’s Australasian team from Auckland.

MARGAUX CERRUTI
Director

Margaux began her career at Louis Vuitton in New York before moving into the contemporary art world. She focuses on business development and advisory from London, building longstanding relationships with leading galleries, private collectors, and luxury brands.

LUCIA CAMPETELLA
Senior Registrar

Lucia has worked at Tate, Hayward Gallery, Guggenheim New York, and Sprüth Magers. At Ocula in London, she manages the movement and documentation of artworks across the world.

LOUISE BENSON
Editor-in-Chief

Louise oversees the magazine's editorial direction, commissioning and strategy. She was formerly director of digital at ArtReview and deputy editor at Elephant, and is based in London.

BAYA SIMONS
Senior Editor

Baya commissions and edits across the magazine. She was formerly a commissioning editor at the Financial Times, where she worked for eight years on the FT Weekend Magazine and HTSI. She is based in London.

PHILIPPA KELLY
News Editor

Philippa oversees Ocula’s news coverage from London. She previously worked as a reporter and editor at The Art Newspaper, the Guardian, and British Journal of Photography.

SHANYU ZHONG
China Editor

Shanyu edits and writes across the magazine. She is a writer, editor and translator based in Beijing.

ZIAN CHEN
China Contributing Editor

Zian edits Ocula Magazine's Chinese platform and commissions and writes across the magazine. He is a writer, editor and curator based between Shanghai and Taipei.

LYDIA ELIZA TRAIL
Editorial Assistant

Lydia writes across the magazine and assists the editorial team. She is based in London.

MILLY BURROUGHS
Social Media Editor

Milly leads Ocula’s social media strategy. Based in Berlin, she is a writer, editor, strategist and marketing and communications consultant in the design and culture sectors.

VARYA TEYF
Gallery Relations Manager

Varya oversees the gallery platform and manages a global team of gallery liaisons. Varya holds a degree in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art and has experience at galleries including LAMB, Saatchi Yates and Gagosian. She is based in London.

MARY COLLINS
Gallery Liaison

Trained as an art historian at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Mary supports both the gallery and advisory teams from London, where she focuses on client relations and business development.

ANNIE CURTIS
Gallery Liaison

Annie focuses on building client relationships and advocating for gallery success. Prior to joining Ocula she worked in television, while she also holds a Masters in Art History from the University of Auckland. She is based in London.

SHERRY PAIK
Gallery Liaison

Sherry is a gallery liaison based in Auckland. She holds a Masters in Art History from the University of Auckland.

ANTJE BARK
Gallery Liaison

Antje manages Ocula's Asia Pacific gallery relationships from Auckland. She trained as both a practising artist and art historian at the University of Auckland.

RORY NORMANTON
CEO

Rory leads Ocula from London, overseeing the company’s strategy across its gallery platform, magazine, advisory, and technology. He previously held senior leadership roles at FREE NOW, Breather, Uber, and Rocket Internet, scaling marketplace and technology businesses across Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia. He previously served on the board of Artnet.

CHRISTINA BRUNN
Head of Digital Marketing, Analytics and Insights

Christina has over 12 years of experience in digital marketing, analytics and audience strategy across the art and luxury sectors. Prior to joining Ocula in London, she held roles at Lyon & Turnbull auction house and was digital marketing director at Freeman’s Auction in Philadelphia.

JULIUS MURINDE
Finance Director

Julius leads Ocula’s finances in London, supporting all areas of the business. His background spans both the arts and commercial sectors, including roles at the Barbican and the Zabludowicz Collection, before joining Ocula from Massimo de Carlo, where he served as Finance Manager.

GLEN BURNETT
Chief Technical Officer

Glen has over 25 years of experience across software development, digital product strategy and platform architecture, with expertise in web platforms, APIs, data systems, cloud infrastructure and analytics. He is based in Auckland.
