Press Release

The exhibition ‘Opaque Spirits’ by Arturo Kameya, in collaboration with Claudia Martínez Garay, will be held at Marres in Maastricht. The exhibition transforms Marres into a hotel where the ghosts of the failed Peruvian state have taken up residence. Visitors can explore various scenes inside the hotel, reflecting a world of appearances in which truth is less important than what is evoked out of sheer necessity. The exhibition is a collaboration between Arturo Kameya and Claudia Martínez Garay.
