Peres Projects is pleased to present Jeremy's (b. 1996 in Geneva, CH) second solo exhibition with the gallery and his first in Seoul.

Through his painted figures Jeremy investigates the expansive and fluid nature of queer and non-normative identities. The strong and saturated colours in his works, combined with the often somber or neutral facial expressions of his subjects, convey an intensity oscillating between vibrancy and darkness. Figures are the focus of his compositions, where twisted, hybrid bodies explore the border between desire and repulsion. More than a set of determined physical attributes, the body becomes a space where political, allegorical and biological contradictions are renegotiated through a perpetual metamorphosis of the self, towards ever more inclusivity.
