David Egan processes the uncomfortable mysteries of small scale, vernacular pop culture theories and histories into a considered set of beguiling, mysterious objects. His paintings, textiles and sculptures hint at an unnamed energy coursing beneath a known surface, defying attempts at understanding and organisation.

In collaboration with Patrick Miller, David Egan co-directed and curated the Museum of Natural Mystery, an ARI based in North Perth. He also founded and co-directs independent record label and publishing house Badminton Bandit. He currently lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.
