Lisson Gallery honours the 50th anniversary of the creation of Brazilian artist Hélio Oiticica's pioneering COSMOCOCAs with a solo presentation of the seminal series. Oiticica lived in New York in the 1970s, and during this period he met and collaborated with Brazilian filmmaker Neville D'Almeida to create a group of 'supra–sensorial' environments which they collectively titled Bloco-Experiences in COSMOCOCA – program in progress. These multisensory installations incorporate slide projections, soundtracks, cocaine powder drawings and a set of instructions for visitors to create future public and private performances.
