Born in Bahia Blanca, Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1965. Bustos is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts Figueroa Alcorta. Bustos studied at the School of Psychology at the National University of Córdoba. She has participated in Mónica Girón and Fabiana Barreda’s art clinics. She studied under Jorge Macchi and Rafael Cipollini’s Analysis and Art Production course at the Fundación Antorchas and also attended an additional course with Michael Wesely. Bustos also studied painting with Marcia Schwartz.
Bustos has participated in clinics with Eva Grinstein, Diana Aisenberg and Gachi Hasper at the Centro Cultural Ricardo Roja and at Intercampos II with Justo Pastor Mellado-Valeria Gonzales-Arthur Lesher. Bustos currently lives and works in Córdoba
