Shamanic Head - Masterpiece of the Punuk Culture

Anthony JP Meyer presents this Masterpiece of the Punuk Culture!

This naturalistic head was used by a shaman who collected small pieces from the rear part or segments in the ivory in order to include them in #magical potions or mixtures. This head might not be coming from a full standing figure but rather from a doll if one judges from the length of the neck which leads to think there used to a hook that was inserted in a distinct body figure. It is interesting to see the combination between the work of man and the random natural alterations reinforcing the mystical expression of the face.
