Hong Kyoung Tack (B.1968), known for his dazzlingly colorful works of pencils and books, is a household name within the Korean art community. His paintings feature rhythmic patterns of repetition and alteration that are densely organized within the canvas, presenting viewers with an intense visual experience.

Hong Kyoung Tack graduated from the Department of Painting at Kyungwon University College of Art, and has held solo shows at the Arko Museum, the Doosan Art Center, and the Daegu Culture and Arts Center. He has also participated in group shows at institutions such as the Seoul Museum of Art, the Daejeon Museum of Art, and the Singapore Art Museum. He won the Young Artist Award at the 2nd edition of the Artist of the Year Award in 2008, and also won the Lee In-sung Art Award in 2013. Hong was accepted to the Ghana Atelier Residency in 2004, and the 2010 Doosan Residency in New York. Hong Kyoung Tack's works are the collections of institutions such as the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Ilmin Museum of Art, the Daelim Museum of Art, the Amorepacific Museum of Art, Nongshim and Hite Jinro.
