Miwa Komatsu is born in Nagano in 1984. She immersed herself in nature and surrounded by animals which influences her philosophy of the life and death. The unique childhood connection with the nature, allows her to use copperplate engraving, acrylic paintings and even Arita-porcelain as a media to reflect the distinct bond with the nature and all the changes in life.

Miwa Komatsu graduated from Joshibi College of Art and Design and won the Young Artist of the Year in 2017. She has several art solo exhibitions at the Museum of Tetsu, Kitanp Museum of Art Annex and Ueda City Museum of Art. She became an Official Ambassador for Mansion Christine Dior.
