Paul Wood searches antique collectables stores and op shops for rejected ceramic objects, kitchen crockery and pre-loved porcelain animals. His sculptural assemblages combine these objects in uncanny and surprising ways. Stacked and fused together in a kiln at high temperatures, these works create playful narratives between otherwise unrelated domestic items, transcending mere nostalgia and becoming small monuments to their curious past.
